Data deletion
Effective October 15, 2026
This page explains how to remove the Instagram data Kifly holds. It applies to sellers who connected an Instagram account to Kifly and to people who sent a direct message to a business that uses Kifly on Instagram. What we collect and for how long is described in our Privacy Policy.
If you are a seller who connected Instagram
- Open Channels in your Kifly dashboard and choose Disconnect on the Instagram account. The assistant stops replying and its key is revoked straight away.
- Optionally, remove Kifly in Instagram under Settings → Apps and websites. This withdraws the permission you gave from Instagram's side.
- To have the data we stored for the connection erased, including conversations and the stored connection details, email hello@kifly.ai from the address on your Kifly account.
If you messaged a business that uses Kifly
Email hello@kifly.ai with your Instagram username and the business you messaged, and ask us to delete your conversation. We will use those details to find the conversation, delete it, and confirm by reply. We may ask you to prove the request comes from that Instagram account before we delete anything, so that nobody can erase someone else's messages.
What happens next
- We respond within thirty (30) days.
- Without a request, message text is deleted automatically thirty (30) days after it was sent, and the conversation record after sixty (60) days.
- Records we are required to keep for tax or legal reasons, such as the order if a purchase was made, are kept for the period the law requires, and we will tell you if that applies.
