Your agent profile on your own domain
Shopping assistants look for one file before they shop a store: https://yourstore.com/.well-known/ucp. It is a UCP profile, a short JSON document that tells an agent how to search your catalog, build a cart and check out.
Kifly writes that file for every live store and keeps it current as the protocol changes. It lives at:
https://kifly.ai/store/<your-handle>/.well-known/ucp
Add one rule to your site and the same file is served from your own domain. Agents see your address. Search, cart and checkout still run through Kifly.
The rule: a rewrite, never a redirect
Your site answers /.well-known/ucp by fetching Kifly's copy and returning it as its own. The UCP spec forbids redirects for this file, so an agent that gets a redirect treats it as no profile at all.
Don't paste a copy of the file either. A pasted copy goes out of date the next time the protocol or your store changes. The rewrite stays current on its own.
Netlify: in _redirects (the 200 makes it a rewrite):
/.well-known/ucp https://kifly.ai/store/<your-handle>/.well-known/ucp 200
Cloudflare: a Worker on the route yourstore.com/.well-known/ucp. This works in front of any site:
export default {
fetch: () => fetch("https://kifly.ai/store/<your-handle>/.well-known/ucp"),
};
nginx:
location = /.well-known/ucp {
proxy_pass https://kifly.ai/store/<your-handle>/.well-known/ucp;
proxy_ssl_server_name on;
}
Your dashboard (Sales Agent) has the rule for every supported platform, Next.js included, with your address already filled in.
On Shopify? Keep Shopify's
Shopify already publishes an agent profile at every Shopify store's /.well-known/ucp, with your Shopify checkout. Keep it; there is nothing to add. Replacing it would cost you Shop Pay and the agent channels Shopify already feeds. Kifly reaches agents for you alongside it: through the Kifly network, your Sales Agent and your chat channels. See Kifly for Shopify.
Squarespace, Wix and Webflow
These platforms host your site for you and do not let you serve files under /.well-known/. Their redirect settings only redirect, which agents will not follow. Two options:
- Put Cloudflare in front of your domain and use the Cloudflare rule above.
- Share your Kifly address (
https://kifly.ai/store/<your-handle>/.well-known/ucp) wherever you list your store for agents.
Check that it works
In your dashboard, Sales Agent → Your agent profile, on your own domain → Check my domain. Kifly fetches https://yourstore.com/.well-known/ucp and tells you one of:
| Result | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Live | Your domain serves your Kifly profile. |
| Redirects | Your rule redirects. Change it to a rewrite. |
| Old copy | Your domain serves a pasted copy from an older protocol version. Replace it with the rewrite. |
| Shopify's profile | Shopify publishes this for you. Keep it. |
| Another platform's profile | Your domain already serves a different UCP profile, and agents will use that one. |
| Nothing there | Add the rule for your platform. |
A live result ticks Make your site findable by AI agents on your dashboard checklist, and your profile's contact link changes from your Kifly store page to your own site.
Your profile goes live once your store is active with at least one published product. You can add the rule before then; it starts working when your store does.
